Caroline C. Peters

Caroline C. Peters is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a career that spans more than 30 years in nursing ,  a foundation that gives her clinical perspective few practitioners can match. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Troy University and a Master of Science in Nursing with a psychiatric specialization from Azusa Pacific University, building on a Bachelor of Science in Nursing earned from California State University, Fullerton.

Her professional journey reflects both range and resilience. From her long-tenured work at the California Institution for Men, where she developed deep expertise in correctional and complex psychiatric care, to her time at Queen of the Valley Hospital, Caroline has consistently served populations that others often overlook. That experience has made her a skilled advocate ,  someone who understands that mental health care must account for the full context of a person’s life, not just their diagnosis.

At Wholesome Psychiatry, Caroline focuses on holistic, individualized treatment plans that draw on psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle interventions.
